All 72Mhz Channels

Exceptions - 13, 20, 37, 38 - Not in use due to interference

50MHz Channels

Only the 50.8 to 51 MHz channel are in use at DCRC

The 53MHz channels are not used due to inference from local ham radio repeaters

 ! WARNING !

POSSIBLE RADIO INTERFERENCE PROBLEMS

People have been observed using radios designed for R/C airplanes on the 50Mhz or 72Mhz channels at the SoccerPlex facility. This may result in radio interference with airplanes and helicopters at our flying field!

DC/RC board members are in contact with County officials to resolve this issue. Until this issue is resolved, pilots flying airplanes at our model airfield must take additional precautions.

  • Prior to flying your airplane, with the engine off and your transmitter off, turn ON the airplane receiver and check to see if any radio interference is present. Observe the airplane control surfaces and ensure they do not move (or jitter) for a period of 15 seconds.

IMMEDIATELY, land your model airplane or helicopter at the first sign of radio interference (or glitching) while flying. Report the problem to a DC/RC board member. Try to determine if someone is operating a 50Mhz or 72Mhz R/C Transmitter at the SoccerPlex. (Refer to www.dc-rc.org for more information on R/C channel usage.)

CHANNEL 41 ALERT!

CHANNEL 41 Users - There is a new data

transmitter centered on

72.68MHz, Just 7kHz from Channel 41. Several models

have already been lost to the interference from this transmitter.

The transmission starts and stops every few seconds and

then is silent for 10-15 minutes. This renders the channel unusable.

We will schedule a further channel survey at the field.

Survey on 11/1/03 found no interference at this time - Please still use great caution. Range check you radio before each use or even better,  monitor the channel using a scanner.

75MHz and 27MHz use:

Note that these frequencies maybe in use at the model boat lake.

Coordination is required between the lake users and DCRC.
