SMALL FRY FUN FLY
For all aircraft 3 lbs. or less with power up to350 watts (electric) or .25 (glow)
SUNDAY, JULY 18th, 2010AT DC/RC FIELD, BOYDS, MD
DCRC is hosting a fun-fly event for smaller models. The event, Small Fry Fun Fly (SF3) is open to all models having flying weights of approximately 3 lbs. or less and power not more than about 350 Watts (electric) or .25 ci. (glow). The event will be held on Sunday, July 18th 2010, at DCRC’s Walt Good Field located at 16200 Schaeffer Rd, Boyds, MD. See Field Info on the sidebar for directions. For those using GPS, the field coordinates are N 39 deg, 9.7 min and W 77 deg, 17.3 min. The field will open at 8:30 AM for registration, with flying starting around 9:15. All pilots must be current AMA members. A landing fee of $5 will include lunch. Non-pilots and guests are welcome to join us for lunch as well. All radio equipment must be in compliance with current FCC regulations. Radios on bands 27, 49, 72, 50, 53 mHz and 2.4 GHz are usable except for Channels 13, 37, 38, 41 on 72 mHz, and 53.1 mHz on 6 meters. Both electrics and glow power are welcome. A number of fun events including spot landings, touch-and-goes and limbo “attempts” are planned with prizes. Even if you don't plan on flying, bring along your models to display and join in on the fun. Feel free to bring items to sell or trade. Model venders are also welcome.
